Cars being prepared with road course aero package |
On-track testing of the 2018 Verizon IndyCar Series universal aero kit at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio, on Tuesday, Aug. 1.
This will be the first test of the road course/street course/short oval aero kit configuration following a successful test of the superspeedway oval configuration last week at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. As with the Indianapolis test, Juan Pablo Montoya will drive the test car with Chevrolet power and Oriol Servia will drive the Honda-powered test car at Mid-Ohio.
Testing is open for the public to attend, with free admission. Fans will have access to the track's infield, Turn 2 viewing mound and carousel area, but will not be permitted in the pits or garage area.
