Ferrari’s Vettel tops morning test times in Hungary
Sebastian Vettel |
Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel led the way during the second morning of in-season testing at the Hungaroring, as Robert Kubica made his much-anticipated official Formula 1 comeback with Renault.
Vettel clocked a best time of 1:17.124 on the Super Softs as he racked up 40 laps in the SF70-H before handing over duties to Kimi Raikkonen, as planned, after two hours of running.
Raikkonen quickly found a rhythm on Soft tires to emerge in second place, behind teammate Vettel, but he was usurped by McLaren protege Lando Norris on the Ultra Soft tires.
Raikkonen, who will remain in the Ferrari this afternoon, finished third, 1.113s behind teammate Vettel.
