William Byron, driver of the No. 9 Axalta Chevrolet for JR Motorsports in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, raced pinewood derby cars with patients at Nationwide Children's Hospital. This event preceded the Mid-Ohio Challenge NASCAR XFINITY Series event at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course this weekend (August 11-12). Byron offers his thoughts on his first visit to Nationwide Children's Hospital and the pinewood derby car race with the young patients. The 19-year-old Byron discusses being named yesterday the driver of the No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet for the 2018 season in the NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series. Byron previews Saturday's 75-lap Mid-Ohio Challenge race (Round 21 of 33 on the season) competing in the No. 9 Axalta Chevrolet for JR Motorsports.
