Tony George to quit IRL for Grand-Am
According to Robin Miller on Wind Tunnel Sunday night, he was talking to an IRL team owner and told him that Tony George asked him (the team owner) what he would think if he moved his Vision IRL team to Grand-Am. Tony told the other IRL team owner he didn't realize it costs this much money. Isn't this what AutoRacing1.com has been saying for years, that crashing into oval track concrete walls causing a lot of extensive crash damage making the IRL one of the more expensive racing series in the world. Wait until the Chevy, Toyota and Honda subsidies dry up, then they'll really find out how expensive it is.
