F1 qualifying red-flagged (Update)
UPDATE Qualifying is back underway at Monza with drivers out on full wets with less than 10 minutes to go in Q1. The drivers are under pressure to put up a good time in treacherous conditions. Still a fair amount of standing water, but that should clear as the cars start circulating.
It's very wet in Monza |
09/02/17 Heavy rain with standing water on the track has brought out the red flag in Q 1 qualifying for the Italian GP at Monza. The rain is continuing to hammer it down here in Monza, so it's doubtful the session will resume any time soon. The clock has stopped with 13 minutes remaining.
Before those red flags came out, Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel were among nine drivers to set times, with the duo sitting in first and second. Romain Grosjean, who crashed his Haas, is in P3, followed by Ericsson and Valtteri Bottas.
