Iowa Speedway announces 2018 schedule
Iowa Speedway |
Iowa Speedway announced its 2018 race schedule on Wednesday.
For the third consecutive year, Wide Opening Weekend will feature both the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and the NASCAR Xfinity Series. As in 2016, the pairing returns to Father’s Day Weekend on June 16-17, 2018.
The Verizon IndyCar Series hits the Fastest Short Track on the Planet for the Iowa Corn 300 on July 8 (which agrees with the AR1 2018 IndyCar schedule rumored on our rumors page). The Iowa Corn 300, entering its 12th year, is the second longest entitlement sponsorship in INDYCAR racing.
Along with the Verizon IndyCar Series, Indy Lights presented by Cooper Tires will also be in action on July 8. The ARCA Racing Series Iowa 150 will take the green flag on July 7, giving race fans a full complement of stock car and open wheel racing during Iowa Corn 300 weekend.
The 2018 Iowa Speedway racing season concludes July 27-28 with another top-notch NASCAR doubleheader featuring the NASCAR K&N Pro Series Casey’s General Store 150 and the NASCAR Xfinity Series U.S. Cellular 250.
Iowa Speedway is committed to maximizing the value of the investment made by our fans. To that effect, there will be no price increases for the 2018 season; all products and packages will retain their 2017 season prices.
Season ticket packages are available now and start at $99 for three high-powered race weekends in 2018.
Iowa Speedway will again offer Fans With Benefits upgrades for season ticket holders, which include garage passes, pace car rides, Casey’s General Store’s Victory Lane photographs, Newton Club passes, premium parking, signature food vouchers, suite upgrades and driver meet-and-greets.
Payment plans are available and offer great flexibility to fans who want to spread out their payments. Additional benefits to being a season ticket holder include the same reserved seats for each race day, the season ticket holder rewards card to use with select Iowa Speedway partners, complimentary access to the Infield Fan Walk and no service fees on tickets. Furthermore, season tickets provide the greatest discount on single event ticket retail prices.
Current season ticket holders can expect their renewal notices to arrive in the mail at the end of September. Single event Tickets and weekend packages will go on sale to the public later this fall.
Iowa Speedway fans can expect to see the return of several fan-friendly initiatives from the 2017 season including:
Early Infield Fan Walk Access: All ticketed fans will have complimentary access to the Infield Fan Walk ahead of Concourse Gates opening. This is your backstage pass to infield access like never before! The Infield Fan Walk offers a great view from the infield, and lets fans get up close and personal with all the on-track action. This VIP access (normally $10 per person) is free to all fans with a ticket to that day’s event prior to gates opening. Additionally, the infield concessions stands will be open, so fans can enjoy food and beverage alongside their pit road post.
Youth Tickets: There is no experience like attending a race in person and that is especially true for children. Iowa Speedway is bringing back its Youth Ticketing Program introduced in 2017, offering free admission for fans under the age of 12, to all six event days. Youth Tickets are limited to grandstand seating only, and will be available on event days at Ticket Booths 1 and 2. Please note, Youth Tickets are not offered in advance and must be accompanied by the purchase of a full price adult ticket.
