Hoover Orsi to test Champ Car

Hearing from our Brazilian sources that Brazilian Hoover Orsi, who currently sits 3rd in the Brazilian Stock Car V8 series with one race remaining, will test a Champ Car with Dale Coyne Racing in December in Sebring, Florida.

Champion in Atlantics in 2001, Orsi was on his way to Champ Car the following season with Fittipaldi-Dingman Racing, but the team closed its doors before the chance came. He has five career Toyota Atlantic race victories, all in his 2001 championship season where he dominated with 11 podiums in the 12-race season.
Even though he now has a good relationship with NasrCastroneves Racing, the team he drives for in Brazilian Stock Cars, Hoover doesn't hide the fact that he wants to be back in an open-wheel car.
