Penske Racing to pull plug on UK factory

With little chassis development allowed in the IRL, look for Penske Racing to possibly pull the plug on its Poole, England factory. We suspect some race team in the UK will acquire the shop and personnel if it goes on the block.

The shop's real claim to fame is the Penske Champ Car Reynard chassis (dubbed the Reynske), which was superior to the factory Reynard chassis. The factory made some great cars in the Rick Mears days, but then had some very lean years where its cars were inferior to Lola and Reynard.
