Some of the spinal cord injured also drove the adaptive car which had special hand controls linked to the accelerator and braking.

The footage near the end of the first video shows the excitement of the spinal cord injured when riding with Truex at a clip of 135 miles per hour at Dover’s Monster Mile.

The NeuroGroove event is a program aligned with Falci Adaptive Biosystems and its cutting edge technology to maximize the impact of bringing mobility to paraplegic, quadriplegic and disabled individuals. The founder of the program is Dr. Scott Falci, chief neurosurgeon at Craig Hospital in Denver.
