Panther could be rescued

UPDATE We failed to mention that the date of the Panther Racing auction is February 6th and 7th, so essentially they have 3 weeks to find a sponsor, or it's curtains for what was once the best team in the IRL…..until the CART teams came in and steamrolled right over them. 01/18/06 We are hearing that one of the irons that Panther Racing had in the fire with regard to sponsorship for 2006 may come through. We hear it's 50/50 right now, but if it happens, it will be for two cars. Meanwhile, the team's auction whereby they are selling everything, including their latest cars, is still scheduled as planned.
