NASCAR close to iPod deal
A deal is supposedly in the works with Apple and NASCAR that will allow fans with a Video iPod to download NASCAR video content to their iPod and take it with them to watch later in the day, such as their train commute to work. The deal might be done in time for the Daytona 500. And with a wireless video iPod rumored for the future, the possibilities are endless.
In other words, NASCAR wants to bombard us with NASCAR media content 24 x 7. If they could someday have us dream NASCAR they'll find a way. Instead of counting sheep, you could count laps. Of course a nightmare sure to wake anyone out of a sound sleep would be Darrell Waltrip spouting Boogity-Boogity-Boogity. If that isn't an insult to one's intelligence, nothing is.
