More proof NASCAR taking over open wheel racing?

UPDATE This rumor is upgraded to 'fact' today. ISC's chief operating officer, John Saunders, has indeed been added to USAC's board of directors.

01/14/06 As if we needed more proof that NASCAR was moving to take over the open wheel short track business in the USA, comes word from the grapevine that J. Saunders, VP of NASCAR has been elected to the USAC Board of Directors. From where we stand it's clear that NASCAR is positioning itself to monopolize the entire oval track business in the USA, from the grassroots right up to the top. See related article)
