Possible new team?

UPDATE With regard to possible new Champ Car teams, here's another hint for you fanatical fans to chase. We don't create the rumors, we just report them.

01/19/06 AutoRacing1.com has learned that a possible new Champ Car team is in the works for 2006. We doubt it will come together at this late stage in time, but it involves a former driver and a UK/Africa businessman. We can give you one hint – the team initials would be MDR. We hear of a possible 2nd new team for 2006, but it is just in the embryonic stage so we do not give it much chance.

In a related rumor, we have now become aware of a number of possible new Champ Car team owners for 2007, one of which will make for some good press worldwide. The team would certainly come out of the box ready to win on Day 1. The owner would not be an American.
