Fauzy and Lopez reunited at SuperNova?
Jose-Maria Lopez and Fairuz Fauzy, team-mates at DAMS in 2005, could be team-mates again this season if rumors of both drivers signing for SuperNova prove to be correct.
Last week SuperNova boss David Sears denied that Lopez had already signed for his team for 2006, although the Argentinean Renault Development driver tested for the squad at the end of last year. Now it is thought Fauzy, who brings substantial personal sponsorship, may also sign up.
Fauzy recently quit the Malaysian A1GP team to concentrate on preparations for GP2 this season.
2006 will be the second season in GP2 for Lopez, but he had already completed a season in F3000 with Coloni, effectively making this a third season at this level. Lopez wouldn't be the first Renault Development Driver to race for SuperNova. Tiago Monteiro drove for David Sears' quad in 2002. Formula-2.net
