NASCAR Moves Up Start Time For Sunday’s Race at Charlotte

Hoping to dodge the imminent threat of rain expected on Sunday, Charlotte Motor Speedway announced Saturday they have moved up the start time for the Bank of America 500 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series to 1pm.

Remnants of Hurricane Nate are expected to dump over four inches of rain over the Charlotte metro area starting mid-day on Sunday, with rain expected to continue throughout the day and into Monday. By moving the start time up one hour, NASCAR is hoping to at least get the race to halfway before they lose the track.
