The newest set of engine regulations that are set to come into play in 2021 are ready to be revealed on October 31st according to Auto Motor und Sport. The new regulations have long been talked about, with Liberty Media keen to introduce louder, cheaper and less complex engines.

The first draft of a budget cap will also follow on November 7th. Fans, teams and drivers have criticized the current engine regulations, which came into effect in 2014. The complicated and expensive 'power units' are set to be heavily modified for 2021 onwards.

It is also believed that the Strategy Group and the Formula 1 commission will be abolished, with Ross Brawn setting up his own team of engineers to overview technical rules and regulations. There has been high interest in the future engine regulations of F1, with road manufacturers such as Aston Martin and Porsche regularly attending engine meetings.
