All’s not well at Red Bull

(GMMf1NET) Less than two weeks before the 2006 season opener in Bahrain, all is not well at Red Bull.

The Milton Keynes based team, scheduled to have already completed its winter preparations, will 'squeeze in' a final test run at Valencia (Spain) this week.

The team's new 2006 car, 'RB2', is still very unreliable, despite the new bodywork package which addresses a cooling flaw.

But Red Bull team principal Christian Horner is keen to play down the alleged car crisis.

''(Christian) Klien did a decent lap (last week) which proves the car has got speed,'' he said.

''The final test in Valencia will give us more track time to smooth out a few rough edges in the overall package.''

In the German 'Auto Motor Und Sport' magazine, however, it is claimed that the RB2 is still yet to collect a single race distance this winter. An analysis of mileage-per-day at tests, moreover, shows that – Super Aguri aside – Red Bull is by far the least reliable on the grid.
