Andretti gets it

IRL team owner Michael Andretti was interviewed by SPEED News Sunday and said that he didn't want to know the details he just hoped that Tony George and Kevin Kalkhoven go behind closed doors and find a way to put the two series (IRL and Champ Car) back together.

Andretti, with four cars and the biggest name in the series, does carry some influence with Tony George and we do hear Andretti Green Racing has been lobbying for a merger.

AutoRacing1.com did hear rumors from Homestead this weekend that the merger deal has been agreed in principal and was now in the hands of the lawyers to hammer out. However, both sides continue to deny there is going to be a merger to the media……which they should do because this deal will not get negotiated successfully in the media.
