Albers likely to stay at ‘MF1’
The chief, however, made special mention of Albers, the 27-year-old Dutchman who is the 2006 teammate for incumbent Tiago Monteiro.
''I think he is one of the strongest drivers in the pit lane,'' Kolles told dailyf1news.com.
''Give him a proper car and he will win races.''
The Midland-owned squad's boss admitted that he is presently talking over the renewal of Albers' single-year contract with manager Lodewijk Varossieau.
Colin Kolles insisted: ''We definitely want to keep him for 2007 if he keeps his current performance level.''
The current problem at Silverstone-based MF1, however, is the car's lack of performance, and constant speculation of owner Alex Shnaider's reluctance to offer a competitive annual budget.
But Kolles said the team is 'working hard' to bridge the gap to rivals.
He added: ''And I am more determined than ever to drive us forward, toward the sharp end of the grid.''
