Toccacelo to replace Thai Tor Graves

UPDATE This rumor is upgraded to 'fact' today as Eurointernational has inked a deal with Toccacelo.

04/13/06 Enrico Toccacelo (last season's A1GP Italy team driver) may take over from Thai Tor Graves (aka Tor Schriavanon > Graves is the name of his Foster parents), due to lack of testing results, at Eurointernational for the World Series by Renault V6 3.5 championship, even before the season starts at Zolder (29-30 April). For the moment only for the first three events (Zolder, Monaco and Istanbul).

Toccacelo will first do a test at Zolder with Eurointernational on Thursday, April 27th. Depending on the result he will decide if he joins the team for the first round at the same circuit that weekend. Last year Toccacelo won the first WS by Renault race at Zolder for Victory Engineering!

If he decides not to do it, it might already open the door for JP de Oliviera at Zolder, winner of the 2005 Japanese F3 championship and at the moment without a drive! If Toccacelo does take the ride, he will be teammate to German driver Pascal Kochem, who's sponsor has helped out with this deal.

If it all doesn't work out, Brazilian Joao Paolo de Oliviera, winner of the 2005 Japanese F3 championship and at the moment without a drive, might be the substitute driver. An announcement will be made shortly!
