The Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, an annual spring break tradition in the Tampa Bay area, will again serve as the opening race for the Verizon IndyCar Series season for an eighth consecutive year. Both the drivers and fans will have an increased level of anticipation for the start of the 2018 season. The temporary St. Petersburg circuit will debut the new, sleeker Indy car aerodynamic body kits into competition.
