How convenient
A reader writes, Dear AutoRacing1.com, I have noticed over the years that whenever a new sponsor comes into NASCAR's Cup series, or is rumored to be leaving, their car sits on the pole. I could not help but notice that Kasey Kahne is on the pole in Michigan this weekend with a new sponsor, Click. I always wondered how NASCAR was able to magically make that happen so the sponsor gets some nice publicity. My theory is that they program it into their Timing and Scoring computers and no one even realizes what is going on. It's very transparent and happens far too often to be a mere coincidence.
