Fisichella injures shoulder – source
(GMM) World champion Fernando Alonso was not scheduled to join the test action at Jerez this week, but the Spaniard turned the laps for Renault on Friday.
It is reported in the Spanish media that he was only drafted in to the pre-Hockenheim session after teammate Giancarlo Fisichella pulled out with an apparent injured shoulder.
''But (Fisichella) will be okay for Hockenheim,'' said a source in Spain.
Jerez on Thursday was excruciatingly hot — 38C at one point. Honda led the way, also in the presence of runners for BMW, McLaren, Red Bull, Toyota, Williams, Toro Rosso and Midland.
Michael Schumacher and Felipe Massa, meanwhile – also on Friday – circulated for Ferrari at Paul Ricard (France).
