Lacroix eyes Champ Car Atlantic
“I’m going to Laguna for sheer pleasure, admits the French-Canadian. I had a great season so far, quite different from last year, and I’m quite satisfied with the end result. I was regular all season long, had no DNF and stayed out of trouble in every round. I think we have all the elements this time to climb on the first step of the podium. So, look out for the UniSelect 74 car this weekend."
Lacroix will not remain idle for long. As soon as the season is over, he will consider testing with a few Champ Car Atlantic teams. “Any rookie coming in this series can test for six days from now until mid-January 2007, says Richard Galarneau, Lacroix’s agent. We are talking to many teams but we will have to settle for three with two-day testing each time. But, for the time being, we want Kevin to stay focused on the Star Mazda series until the season is done with.’’
