Hyundai eye F1 for 2010

(GMM) Speculation is linking Korean car maker Hyundai with a new bid to enter formula one.

The weekly 'Automobilwoche' said Hyundai, once thought to be considering buying departed Paul Stoddart's Minardi team and also Jaguar and Williams, is now planning a possible appearance on the 2010 grid.

"We are in discussions with Bernie Ecclestone," a Hyundai chief was quoted as confirming.

Fellow Korean multinational Samsung, presumably as a sponsor, might also be involved in the Hyundai project.

[Editor's Note: There is no room on the grid for Hyundai so they would have to buy into an existing team, and they would never badge another manufacturers engine. They could, however, badge a Cosworth, and would be very smart to do just that as they are in no position to produce their own F1 engine.]
