Allmendinger to miss Atlanta race

10/27/06 A.J. Allmendinger will try to qualify the No. 84 Red Bull Dodge at Atlanta. Allmendinger may not even get a chance to run the car this week if qualifying at Atlanta is cancelled as rain is forecast all day Friday and Friday night. Qualifying is scheduled for 7:10pm/et and will be televised on SPEED. If qualifying is washed out, the field is set by the rules book – top 35 by owners points, past champs, then by race attempts, which means Allmendinger would sit out the race.
