Champ Car blesses Assen, Holland circuit

According to sources in Holland, the Assen TT circuit has been given preliminary approval by Tony Cotman, race-director of the Champ Car World Series after a short visit to the circuit. Cotman brought a representative of the FIA from Paris along. Basically Cotman thought the circuit was fine except for some minor pit lane modifications, and a safety wall issue here or there. Cotman also visited a few other European circuits recently. We hear announcements are getting close on the European races.

Those same sources are saying that Dutch hero Jos Verstappen will be reunited with Paul Stoddart for his rumored Champ Car team. We are told if Verstappen is in the race it is guaranteed to be a complete sellout.
