A1GP does not like Champ Car chicane
There are still five months to the A1 Grand Prix race in Mexico City, which will be racing at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez for the first time. Julio Jauregui, vice-president of the A1 franchise in Mexico was at the track making a site inspection looking forward to decide which course A1 will choose to use the 25th of March of 2007.
Jauregui showed his disappointment for the chicane Champ Car placed before the famous banked curve.
“I believe the chicane reduces it attractive (to the race). We will evaluate how dangerous it is to the drivers to take the banked curve without the chicane Champ Car is using. Probably we will choose a chicane which does not require the driver to slow down speed that much, it will be interesting to let them run faster."
