Slowest driver in F1 makes more than Alonso
As long as you are Japanese and you drive for Honda, you apparently are paid a hefty sum. Tooling around at the back of the F1 field may mean Takuma Sato is a hero (in the Japanese eyes only) and deserve to be paid more than the World Champion.
According to Spanish newspaper ‘Marca’, the Super Aguri star pocketed a whopping $7.7 million this year, which means that the 29 year old Japanese took home more money this year than the World Champion Fernando Alonso.
