Rickard Rydell to Aston Martin?

According to Swedish publication AutoMotorSport , Rickard Rydell is poised to return to sports cars next year. Rydell, who has driven for Prodrive in the past with its Ferrari 550 Maranellos, has apparently been offered a ride in one of the team’s Aston Martin DBR9s for 2007.

The offer could be for the entire American Le Mans Series and a ride in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. However, Prodrive and Aston Martin have yet to confirm its exact race program for 2007.

"It could be the entire ALMS or just the three main races. We don't know yet," Rydell said. “I will get more information later on."
