Ganassi to field Lexus ALMS entry

By the looks of this Team Lexus website, Lexus does not appear like it will race in ALMS in 2007 either. Rumor has it Toyota got the order from Daytona not to field a car in the competing ALMS Series when they would like them to spend more in Grand-Am. Toyota isn't about to get Daytona mad at them…..now would they? Not fast enough for ALMS, the car ended up in Grand-Am Cup (right) where Lexus wasted their money with zero exposure.

11/10/06 According to AutoRacing1.com sources, Chip Ganassi has agreed to take over the floundering Lexus ALMS GT2 program that has yet to get off the ground after being announced over a year ago. Ganassi of course also fields a Lexus entry in the Grand-Am Daytona Prototype series.
