Chase Elliott was running second in the 2018 Daytona 500 when he sparked a seven-car wreck that saw the days end for himself, Kevin Harvick, Brad Keselowski, Kasey Kahne and Danica Patrick.

Elliott made contact with Keselowski on Lap 100 and that touched off the incident, which sent Elliott into the wall in Turn 3. Keselowski then made contact with Harvick, while Kahne and Patrick were caught up in the aftermath of the accident.

“I’m fine, just unfortunate set of circumstances," Elliott said. “I had a big push from Brad (Keselowski) and was trying to do something with it on Ryan (Blaney). I didn’t really expect to get by him. I was kind of feeling him out to see how aggressive he wanted to be and just kind of got light over the transition and was a big push at the wrong time I guess. It happens and we will just move on down the road."

David Ragan and Martin Truex Jr. were also involved.
