Sebring Hour 1: Penske Acura out front

The start
The start

The #7 Penske Acura with Ricky Taylor at the wheel leads the 12 Hours of Sebring after 1 hour of running. The #31 Cadillac with Felipe Nasr is not far behind in 2nd while the #90 polesitting Cadillac of Tristan Vautier runs third overall.

The #24 BMW of Jesse Krohn leads the GTLM category over the #67 and #66 Ganassi Ford GTs.

The #15 Lexus with Jack Hawksworth at the wheel leads GTD ahead of the #48 Lamborghini.

An opening-hour crash involving the No. 52 AFS/PR1 Mathiasen Motorsports Ligier JS P217 Gibson of Sebastian Saavedra and the No. 64 Scuderia Corsa Ferrari 488 GT3 of Frankie Montecalvo brought out the first full course caution.

Saavedra appeared to lose control of the car in Turn 17 and clip the Ferrari, which sent Montecalvo into the air and then into the tire barrier. The Ferrari ended up upside down but Montecalvo was able to exit the car under his own power.
