Uber pulls all self-driving cars off road
We have said it once and we will say it again, computers still cannot mimic the analysis the human brain goes thru to decide what action to take when the unexpected is sure to happen. To put these cars on the road now is irresponsible. |
Uber has pulled its fleet of self-driving cars off the roads after a reported crash in Arizona.
ABC 15 reported that the accident involving a self-driving vehicle happened early Monday morning in Tempe. It's unclear whether there were any injuries.
An Uber spokesperson said the company was cooperating with local authorities on the investigation.
Uber has paused self-driving operations in Tempe, Pittsburgh, San Francisco and Toronto. The company has not said how long it plans to keep the cars off the streets.
