Portland IndyCar race tickets go on sale

Green Savoree Racing Promotions (GSRP) is excited to announce that tickets are on sale today effective 10:00 a.m. PT for the Grand Prix of Portland at portlandgp.com. The race weekend is scheduled for August 31-September 2, 2018 at Portland International Raceway.
The Grand Prix of Portland will be the first dedicated open-wheel race weekend at Portland International Raceway since the former Champ Car World Series in 2007. It is highlighted by Round 16 of 17 on the 2018 Verizon IndyCar Series schedule which will take the green flag at 11:30 a.m. PT on Sunday, September 2.
"Indy car racing is back in the Pacific Northwest for the Grand Prix of Portland on Labor Day weekend, and we expect demand for tickets to be high," said Jerry Jensen, general manager for the Grand Prix of Portland. "For a limited time, we also have a Champions Club offering the most unique fan experience at a tremendous value. It's going to be an action-packed weekend for all to enjoy."
Reserved Seating is currently available in 10 different grandstands including the popular Festival Chicane location. The grandstand seats are sold at three different pricing levels based on the trackside viewing location. The 3-Day Reserved Seating prices are:
3-Day Gold (Festival Chicane Grandstand) $165
3-Day Silver (C2, C3 and C4 Grandstands) $95
3-Day Bronze (G, H, J, L, M and P Grandstands and ADA Platforms) $85
The Champions Club provides premium access to race fans with 3-Day Reserved Seating included. Before the drivers and cars take the green flag, it provides access to Sunday's pre-race grid walk and the Verizon IndyCar Series Paddock throughout the weekend. Additional benefits include a souvenir credential, exclusive partner offers, and additional on site access to be determined. Pricing for Champions Club follows:
3-Day Gold $190
3-Day Silver $170
3-Day Bronze $160
General admission, pit and paddock access, and parking passes are also on sale. Children 12 and under get free general admission and paddock access with a ticketed adult. Pricing is as follows for these remaining items:
3-Day Pit and Paddock Pass $125
3-Day Paddock Pass $65
3-Day General Admission $60
3-Day Broadacre Parking $50
Along with today's release of public ticket sales, the support race series completing the weekend schedule are also confirmed. The Mazda Road to Indy Presented by Cooper Tires features the rising stars of open-wheel racing's development ladder which are listed in order from its top tier to entry level: Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires, Pro Mazda Presented by Cooper Tires, and Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda, respectively.
Each of these Mazda Road to Indy series will run doubleheader events on Portland International Raceway and serves as their season finale races. Indy Lights last raced at Portland International Raceway in 2001, and Pro Mazda and USF2000 in 2006. Rounding out the schedule will be some full-fender action from the Mazda MX-5 Cup.
