Fisichella job shopping

Giancarlo Fisichella is on the look-out for a new F1 team just hours after Flavio Briatore hinted his services were no longer required.

Speaking to an Italian radio station, Briatore revealed that Fisichella will no longer be driving for Renault next season. "Renault will definitely have different drivers next year," the team boss said.

And although Fisichella has received no confirmation from Renault about his future, the Italian is already talking with other F1 teams. "I don't know anything yet," he told the Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper. "I surely want to race in Formula One, and now I'll take a look around. "I'm considering other possibilities.

"There is Renault, there are other teams, but I've not closed a deal with anyone yet." Recent reports have linked Fisi to a seat at Force India, with whom he's expected to test at Jerez next month. It is distinctly possible Fisichella will look to Champ Car after he does not land an F1 ride, which at this point appears doubtful.
