Vegas track buys street race assets

UPDATE We are hearing that the rumor that LVMS purchased all the barriers and fencing is not true. Apparently they did make a purchase, but it was only for a few barriers and some of the fencing. We heard it is a very small fraction of the total amount, and that the stuff is still up for sale.

11/24/07 According to AutoRacing1.com sources, to ensure Champ Car never race on the streets of Las Vegas again LVMS has purchased the fencing and walls that were used for the LVGP. They say that it will be used to better protect the industrial buildings that are located near the road course.
