NASCAR out to strip open wheel of biggest names

A reader writes, Dear AutoRacing1.com, I was reading this article that talks about how NASCAR teams are all of a sudden hiring open wheel racing's biggest names instead of the traditional farm boys. It would seem to me there is a concerted effort by the NASCAR contingent to strip open wheel racing of its best and brightest and put that form of racing out of business. So far it's working. Dear Doug, It certainly would appear to be the case, though one can say that the stupidity of the powers to be in open wheel racing in the USA, that allow the split to continue, are equally to blame. Mark C.
