BMW eyes major new F1 sponsor

(GMM) BMW-Sauber could soon team up with a major new sponsor, according to the Swiss newspaper Blick.

It is reported that Deutsche Telekom, Germany's largest telecommunications company and the biggest in Europe, is considering backing the formula one team, possibly to advertise its 'T-Mobile' brand.

After Petronas and Credit Suisse, the Bonn-based company would reportedly become the Swiss based team's third most lucrative backer.

The news could be made official on 14 January, when the German-Swiss team unveils its 2008 car, the F1.08, in Munich.
