Montagny to LMES or Champ Car series

UPDATE "I had opportunities to be in Formula One next year, but I eliminated them because I do not want to be a third driver again," the French racer stated on RMC. “The rules changed so much that the third driver does not run very much anymore and is simply a spectator and I am not very good at just being a spectator!"

“The odds that it is Fisichella who will go to Force India are great. It is their choice. After three years at Renault, `Fisico' can be a good asset for a young team."

But what for Montagny in 2008?

"ChampCar? Perhaps. There are many negotiations in progress. I have received some strong offers from teams which are well positioned. I want to race and to be very busy racing-wise in 2008 and I think that this will be the case. It will most probably be a French team with international races on board a prototype car." 12/30/07 With Frenchman Frank Montagny seemingly out of the F1 circle, rumors suggest he will end up in the Le Mans Series with a leading French team – Peugeot, Pescarolo or Oreca/Courage. He will get paid to drive in the LeMans Series, unlike Champ Car where he was expected to buy his ride. Too bad as Montagny is quite a good driver.
