Verizon IndyCar Series driver James Hinchcliffe has partnered with IU Health and the American Red Cross to host the #HinchcliffeHundred blood drive at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Monday, May 21 from 12-6 p.m. (Legends Row).

This is actually the beginning of a larger initiative that James has started this year – he plans on hosting several blood drives at INDYCAR races in the future, including this year’s races at Iowa Speedway and Sonoma Raceway.

As you know, this is a response to the blood donation that James received while in critical shape after his 2015 crash during practice for the Indy 500. He received 22 units of blood, when the typical body only holds about 10-11 (“two full oil changes," as he jokes).

We are STRONGLY encouraging fans to sign up in advance for the blood drive – all they have to do is go to www.redcrossblood.org and enter the code “HinchcliffeHundred."
