IndyCar GP Popularity continues to plummet
IndyCar GP popularity |
ABC aired the fifth IndyCar Grand Prix on Saturday afternoon, drawing 780,000 viewers. That figure is the lowest yet for the road race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and down 37% from 1.24 million viewers for the first iteration in ’14.
Is IndyCar growing? So far just about all the TV ratings for 2018 are down from 2017. And to think the season finale could be a 400-miler on the IMS oval with huge attendance and huge TV ratings. But that makes so much sense IndyCar will never do it. They prefer to run the IndyCar GP on the road course and their season finale be at Sonoma with small attendance so the series looks as bad as possible to anyone watching…..including potential sponsors.
