Capital Funding Group (CFG), an equal opportunity lender for financial subsidy within the multifamily and healthcare industries, announced today a partnership with Ed Carpenter Racing for the 2018 Indianapolis 500. CFG will be prominently displayed on the rear wing of the No. 20 Fuzzy’s Vodka Chevrolet, driven by Ed Carpenter. CFG will ride with Carpenter as he starts his 15thIndianapolis 500 from the pole position.

Carpenter is the only individual in the Verizon IndyCar Series who handles the responsibility of being a team owner while also driving the car. Carpenter is one of the most experienced drivers in the Indy car field with over 300 starts since his career began in 2004. As of Sunday afternoon, Carpenter is now a three-time pole winner for the Indianapolis 500 after being the fastest qualifier. He previously earned the coveted first starting position back-to-back in 2013 and 2014. Last year, Carpenter qualified 2nd and led the 500-mile classic, the 10th year in a row he has led a Verizon IndyCar Series race.

Qualifications for the Indianapolis 500 took place this weekend with all three Ed Carpenter Racing drivers among the nine fastest qualifiers during Saturday’s Bump Day qualifications. As such, each secured themselves a place in the Fast Nine Shootout for the Verizon P1 Award during Sunday’s Pole Day. While Carpenter will start first, Spencer Pigot will be the team’s representative in the second row after qualifying 6th and Danica Patrick will start inside the third row in 7th. The 102nd Running of the Indianapolis 500 will take place at noon on Sunday, May 27 where CFG will be featured on Carpenter’s No. 20 pole-winning car.
