Charlie Whiting is one of the most experienced members of the Formula 1 paddock, having been involved in the series for four decades, and acted as the FIA's Race Director for more than 20 years.

Mobil 1 The Grid spent time with the 66-year-old to get his views on how F1 safety has developed during that time, and what he enjoys most about his job. Charlie Whiting was speaking to Mobil 1 The Grid as part of his work with the Motorsport Industry Association.
