Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing (RLL) announced today that ABeam Consulting, who provides business transformation services to over 800 clients throughout Asia, the Americas and Europe, will be primary sponsor of Takuma Sato’s No. 30 Honda entry at the DXC Technology 600 at Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday, June 9. ABeam has been an associate sponsor of Sato’s IndyCar Series entry since 2017.
“I am very proud to have ABeam Consulting as a sponsor for the past year and especially to have them as the primary sponsor of my race car for the first time at Texas Motor Speedway," said Takuma Sato. “Their enthusiasm and pride in their company is tremendous and they share the same passion for motorsport. I have been meeting many employees and clients of ABeam in Orlando, Florida this week and look forward to meeting more in Texas and working hard to bring ABeam a good result in the race."
ABeam Consulting will have three engineers devoted to the program and those engineers will attend the majority of IndyCar Series races in 2018 to provide technical support and use tools developed by ABeam to analyze data.
“Since our relationship with Takuma started last year, we have been very pleased to work with him not only at the race track but also at corporate events," added Koh Watanabe, Managing Director for the Americas at ABeam Consulting. “We share many of the same goals about precision, strategic planning and success. We know the race at Texas Motor Speedway is one of the most exciting of the season and we will have many people at the event to support Takuma."
Live coverage of the DXC Technology 600 will begin on NBCSN at 8 PM ET on Saturday, June 9 and the field will take the green flag at 8:45 p.m. ET. Sato’s best start in the event is fourth place, two times (2016, 2011) and his best finish is fifth in 2011.
