Haug denies Singapore GP delay rumors
(GMM) Norbert Haug has played down rumors that extremely wet conditions could endanger the running of the inaugural F1 night race in Singapore this weekend.
Paddock whispers at the Marina Bay location so far this week suggest that, should heavy rain dangerously compromise visibility for the drivers under the lights, FIA officials could simply recommend that the race be delayed or transferred to another date.
"I have not heard anything about that," Haug, the boss of McLaren's German engine partner Mercedes-Benz, told Auto Motor und Sport.
It rained heavily in Singapore on Wednesday.
