Sonoma says IndyCar not an economically viable business (Update)

UPDATE Although losing the race is disappointing for Sonoma IndyCar fans, it will be a positive financial change for the track, Page said.

"From a quarter-million-dollar loss to renting the track for six figures to someone, it will contribute to our bottom line in a positive way," he said.

One has to wonder how much money Laguna Seca will lose. IndyCar needs Liberty Media to buy the series and the Speedway ASAP before it's run into the ground.
