ESPYs host Danica Patrick's roasted some of the top names in sports in her opening monologue last night. Her best line: Patrick on Tiger Woods: "Why do people keep talking about this guy when he isn’t winning. Who does he think he is? Me?

Some of her jokes were up-to-the-minute topical: "The Caps won their first Stanley Cup in franchise history and Alex Ovechkin couldn't be any happier. I haven't seen a Russian this pleased with Washington since, well, two days ago. … Congratulations to France on winning the World Cup. I'd make a joke about the U.S. soccer team, but they didn't qualify for this monologue." “ESPY Awards," ABC

The AP's Beth Harris writes Patrick's monologue "went over like, well, a flat tire at the Indianapolis 500," and social media commenters "weren't impressed either." Patrick "did score with a few jokes," and she "proved a good sport by taking aim at herself." AP
