Ferrari engines for Honda now unlikely

(GMM) Ferrari is no longer likely to supply the Brackley based formula one team currently known as Honda Racing F1 with engines in 2009.

A spokesman for the Italian outfit last week confirmed Ross Brawn's claim that a supply of the Maranello-built 2.4 liter V8s will be available for Honda's potential buyers.

But at the launch of Ferrari's new F60 single seater in Italy on Monday, team boss Stefano Domenicali said: "The chance of us supplying engines to Honda is close to zero."

Including Toro Rosso, Ferrari supplied two customer teams with engines in 2008, but Force India will switch to Mercedes-Benz power ahead of the forthcoming season.
