Hungarian MotoGP cancelled?
UPDATE We are upgrading this rumor to 'strong.' Things about this project in Hungary certainly are not looking very good. Check these photos. These were taken about a month ago and not much progress has been made since then.
02/23/09 According to recent reports, the Hungarian Moto GP is under threat with delays in construction of the new circuit meaning that it is unlikely to be completed on time for the 2009 event.
It appears as if the group responsible for the construction of the 80 million euro circuit have failed to get things underway causing the local government to admit that the race will more than likely need to be cancelled, even though there has been no official word from the Spanish group, Sedesa, on the situation.
The Hungarian round was scheduled to replace Shanghai on September twenty this year at the new 4.6 km Baltonring.
